Sarathi, Chhutar and Bar Pantiri Carpenter

[ This article is essentially only a part of the original article having the same title although some new words are also added in it. The other part was about Jesus. That part has been re-written with the title
"From Bar Pantiri to carpenter and then son of a carpenter" ]

A sarathi is a charioteer and a chhutar is a carpenter. The connection is that a carpenter built a chariot and repaired it when damaged in the battlefield. The Carpenterius was a Roman legion for fixing or making wheels and carriages of the Roman army.

In the Mahabharata there is a hero named Karna who fought against the party Krishna supported. It appears that between the Christ of Palestine and Krishna of the latest Sanskrit-based Indian version, there were other versions of the story in one of which Karna was the main hero.

Despite of his being on the wrong side, it is clear that Karna was projected as an unlucky hero. In fact the rivalry between Karna and Arjun has been compared with the rivalry between Achilles and Hector. This alone raises the question whether there was an earlier version of the story of the Mahabharata in which Karna was the principal character.

In fact Karna's name is closer to the name of Krishna in the so-called Prakrit languages of the subcontinent for example Kanai (Kanu) in Bengali, Kanha in Awadhi. To appreciate the importance of these older languages in the subcontinent people must know several things.

Late arrival of Sanskrit in Indian epigraphy.
Criticism of the so-called mother Sanskrit theory.
History of the spread and the use of Sanskrit in India. Originally only a high caste person would use Sanskrit.
History of the immigration of the Rajputs to India.
      Saka influences in India.
Further knowledge on the following field will be a plus though not necessary.
Dubious role played by the Christian missionaries to organize Sanskrit-based Hindu religion.

Karna and Arjun had the same mother. Karna's father was god Surya (Sun). Arjun and his four other brothers were also sons of gods. This happened because people involved, unlike the Christians, believed in more than one god.

In another article we shall speculate that behind the name Arjun is the name Essene with the extra R sound of the Sakas. But since one can detect or suspect other inputs in the stories about Arjun and the Arjuniyas found among the Indian tribes immigrating from different places we shall not persue this complicated matter in this article.

An example of the extra R sound is kramelak for camel in a Bengali word borrowed from Sanskrit. Another example is Braja for Bhoja (Magi) mentioned below.

We have considered as Sakas not only those who remained in Sistan or Iran or outside the subcontinent but also those who were Rigvedic-Avestans and to whom the so-called New Aryan languages originally belonged. This is a complex issue requiring a lengthy discussion. Now we shall assume it only remembering Sakatiyana.

Karna's mother Kunti bore him when she was a virgin (note the virgin birth) and out of fear threw him into a river. Karna was rescued by a charioteer (ratha=chariot) called Nanda and was brought up by Nanda and his wife Radha.

When comparing Jesus and Krishna somebody said that both of them were born of virgins a great controversy arose. Now it is difficult to say whether this is a mistake or there was some reference of it because there were many variants of the Krishna story. However some people has used it as an argument against the theory that Jesus and Krishna were originally the same person. We see that this argument has no basis.

Thus Karna was called Radheya and Sutaja. The last name was adopted because his father was a suta meaning a charioteer (sarathi) as well as a carpenter (Bengali: chhutar).

We do not know whether Benjamin Walker was the first to stress the importance of this second Radha who was Karna's adopted mother. Krishna's beloved (desired object) was Radha which Radha in Krishna's story is of course known to all.

These two Radha's remind us of two important Mary's in the Jesus story. Virgin Mary was a real figure and Mary of Magdalene who was possibly a hypothetical figure originating in mistake.

Both Nanda and Radha showed variants of a some sound discussed in the article, "Desert of Lut." For example Mahapadma, first of the nine Nandas, was a king of ancient India belonging to the Nanda dynasty and padma means lotus. We thought this dynasty to be a pre-Islamic Lodi dynasty in India. In English padma is lotus. Padmasambhava appears to be from the Lodi country of Afghanistan. When one of his titles jewel in lotus prompted us to think that is was originally a title of Jesus as Jewel of Lut we did not notice the story of Lithargoel Jesus.

Since the Lycians have been related to the greater Lut legacy a question arises whether the name Radha was inspired by a word such as Lycian lada? Meanings of lada differ. Some say it means wife, others say it also means woman. Krishna was called Ladahamadhav.

Some authors think Suqutra was (the original) Svetadvipa which Lassen thought to be the source of the Indian Christ story. At present we have huge information regarding the Parthian world connecting India with Palestine, Hatra, Haggarite or Ismailite incense traders (incense Bengali aagar, aguru) and Armenia.

One could also suspect that "Twin Twin" ("Didymus Thomas") had something to do with Suqutra the Greek name of which was Dioscorides. This way we come to the story of Leda mother of twin heroes called the Dioscuri. As we have shown in another place the name Thomas originated from words such Subba and Shaman and so forth and these words meant ancient Sufis in various languages in the past.

Kunti, Karna, Krishna - Kanu - all show various types of n sound, in the prominent parts as opposed to Kesta for Krishna. Kanin is intepreted as a child of a kanya (girl, kumari), that is, unmarried young woman. Karna's mother Kunti's adopted father was called Kuntibhoja. Here the word Bhoja possibly meant Magus (Magi). Children of Magha Brahmans and Bhoja women are well-known.

Put was called a variant pronunciation of Bhoja in the article, "The Desert of Lut." Put was in ancient Pakistan or India and was near Lata which was an old name of Gujarat. Some biblical author identified Put with Ethiopia. Afghanistan, Suqutra (Sakadvipa?) and Ethiopia were part of the Gnostic (Sabiun) ring.

Braja seems to be a mixed Bhoja and Saka legacy. In fact it seems that an earlier name of Braja was Putana. Some part of Mathura is stilled called Putana. Krishna killed an witch by the name Putana.

Mathura of course reminds the Virgin Mary's cult at Matarea of Egypt. In this regards sequencing the events remain a big challenge to the historians. The greatest obstacles are forgeries which now appear as fundamental exhibits. In the Koran there is no mention of the time of Jesus. Still Muslims for no reasons accept the time claimed by the Christians.

Again one can doubt wheteher Megasthenes mentioned Mathura at all. Megasthenes came to India circa 302 BCE. In this regard there are much historical information scattered in the assay "Mrgabatee and Mary Magadelene." It appears that there was a mixture of the cult of Mary with the Greek cult of Leto in the town of Urfa (Edessa, Ar-roha). But the question is when.

In deed the name Roha compares with the so-called Prakrit Bengali form Rahi for Radha and her name Rai prevalent in some parts of Southwest Bengal.

Krishna means black (Kara). The alleged author of the Mahabharata was also called Krishna because he had black complexion. It appears that the ancient Jesus of Ethiopea was also black. Though the story of Krishna was written for Aryan kings in Aryan language it was written in South India inhabited generally by black people. Krishna may also originate from the KR sound in Christ because in Afghanistan and in a region dominated by Turkish language Kara was an often used epithet.

If we forget the manifold mixture and consider two main threads then it appears that the KR sound came from Christ and the N sound came from Kaneen of a Virgin and possibly partly from the ledth machine ("kund") of a carpenter for which a carpenter is called a kundkar. There is also a possibility that the name Karna is nothing but Kanai or Kanha with the extra R sound of the Sakas.

We did not fully understand the significance of the name Kuntibhoja. However it reminds Gondopharnes. The actual name of Gondopharnes was Vindapharna. He was a Parthian king of Punjab identified with one of the Magi called Casper of India. It is thought he is one of the three magi mentioned in the Gospel of Mathew. It appears that the engineers for the chariots of the Kushan army were called "Kundaneya" or "Koonadeano" or something like that. These were important officers. They were not common carpenters.

Possibly an Indian found the social status of a carpenter disturbing. Therefore a charioteer who is a hero in the battlefield is preferred over a carpenter. Thus the Son of the Virgin (parthenos) taunted as Bar Pantiri, who became a meek carpenter in the west, became a warring charioteer in the east.

In short here are overwhelming indications that the main character behind the Jesus and Krishna stories was the same person. People underestimate the sense of globalism of the ancient world because most of them are clueless of the human immigration that took place between countries and the long-distance trade. One important matter is while commenting on the sources of the Jesus and Krishna stories people forget another hero Karna who clearly inspired the stories of Krishna and influenced them. Karna and Krishna were two versions, versions prevalent among two different Indian tribes possibly having wide social and historical difference, of the same person whom the westerners call Jesus and Muslim call Hazrat Isa. By keeping Jesus and Krishna widely separated in time using history constructed from rumors, hoaxes and myths of the dark age, controlling the spread of well-research articles and making them hard to procure, obstinate recitation of that history perpetuates ordinary people in their error.
